Honesty. Intelligence. Humor. Great hair. Career success. There are many traits you want in a man.
Why? Because optimistic people tend to be happier and healthier. Which rubs off on their partner. (That’s you!)
Specifically, the research found that long-term couples with an optimistic partner are better able to fight cognitive decline. Not to mention related issues, such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Who knew looking on the bright side could be so powerful?
But it’s important to understand what researchers mean by “optimistic”.
You don’t want someone who just feels happy all the time. Or sees things through rose-colored glasses.
You want someone who takes action to make positive changes. Someone who not only sees the glass as half full, but actively works to fill it up the rest of the way.
If you find that man, hang on to him.
