Drop Hints to Get What You Want

It’s no secret men hate to be nagged. The key to getting your man’s help is to drop hints.

You don’t want a partner who is demanding. And neither does he. What you DO want is a mutually beneficial relationship. One way you can build this is by paying attention to the way you ask for things.

Let’s say you are sitting on the couch. You’re cold, so you say, “Hey, turn the heat up!” He’s liable to think, “She’s bossy!” Instead, try “Brrrrr...I’m freezing” and watch what happens. He will likely come snuggle, get you a blanket, even ask if you want the heat turned up.   

Suddenly he’s gone from feeling like your servant to your hero. Which one do you think is more likely to win his affection?

Change phrases like, “We never go out anymore” to “I can’t wait until we get to do something fun together.” Reword, “You need to take out the trash!” to “Baby, I feel so overwhelmed tonight.”
